We are a clinic inside a leisure centre, which catches people out the first time. This is the whole journey:
- Turn in off Kinwarton Road at the teal Greig Leisure Centre sign — our board sits directly underneath it.
- Come in through the main blue doors, under the red banner. There is no separate clinic entrance.
- The desk in front of you is the leisure centre’s, not ours. Say you are here for Theorem and carry straight on — no membership, nothing to sign.
- Past the dance studio, follow our arrow: Physiotherapy Clinic & Shop. Sit down in our waiting area and we will come out to you.
Running late? Ring 07380 841468, not the leisure centre desk — they cannot see our diary or pass a message into a session.
The door you are looking for.
The leisure centre’s hours are not our hours. The Greig opens at half past eight in the morning and stays open until nine at night. The clinic runs nine to seven, and the last appointment starts at six. If you arrive at eight in the evening the building will still be busy and our door will be locked.

The room itself
One large private room, not a curtained cubicle. The treatment couch sits at one end and there is enough open floor at the other to actually watch you move — a bike, a rower, steps, weights and resistance bands, all within reach of the plinth. The shockwave and Class IV laser units live in this room too — which is why there are laser hazard notices on the door. Those are a legal requirement for the room, not a warning about your appointment; if the laser is used you will be given goggles and told what is happening first.
That matters more than it sounds. An assessment that never gets you off the couch cannot see the thing that is hurting you, because the thing that is hurting you usually only shows up when you load it.
Questions people ask before booking
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book yourself in. Most of our patients have never seen a GP about the problem.
Do I have to be a member of the gym?
No. Theorem is a private clinic that happens to be inside The Greig. You come in through the main doors, walk past the leisure centre desk, and you need nothing at all from Everyone Active.
Where do I park?
Free, around 80 spaces, directly in front of the building, with disabled bays nearest the entrance. No permit, no ticket, no barrier and no app.
The car park is shared with the leisure centre and signed three hours maximum between 8am and 4pm. An appointment is fifty minutes, so for almost everyone that is academic. If you are booked back-to-back in the daytime, tell us and we will point you somewhere else.
Is the clinic step-free and accessible?
Yes — the route from the car park to the treatment room is step-free. Wide double doors at ground level, reception on the same level, and a flat corridor to our room with no thresholds. There is an accessible WC with baby-changing a few steps from our waiting area.
If you have a specific access need — a hoist transfer, a large powered chair, an assistance dog, a carer coming in with you — ring 07380 841468 before you book. It is a short conversation, and better had in advance than at the door.
Can I be seen this week, and how long will it take?
Usually, yes. There is no waiting list at Alcester and the clinic runs five days a week, so you are being offered the next free appointment rather than joining a queue. Thursday evenings go first.
The first appointment is fifty minutes, follow-ups forty. Both are with the same clinician throughout — you are not handed to an assistant after the first ten minutes.
How do I pay, and what if I have to cancel?
We are a self-pay clinic. You pay us directly and claim it back yourself if your policy allows — we will give you a receipt with everything an insurer asks for. We do not bill insurers directly and we do not accept Bupa.
Give us 24 hours’ notice to cancel and there is no charge. Less than that, or a missed appointment, is charged at the full fee. It is a single-clinician diary, and a late cancellation is a slot nobody else can have.
We see children from age seven upwards, with a parent or guardian in the room. If you have been treated at our Redditch clinic your records follow you, so you are not starting again. And when you ring 07380 841468 it is answered around the clock — ask for a person and you will get one.
